Q: No longer able to print black

Why am I no longer able to print black from two of my Macs OSX 10.8.5 while a third continues to print just fine using the same printer (ie, not a printer issue)? Other colors seem to print fine on all three laptops. The same phenomenon has suddenly shown up affecting all files tersted: Word, Excel, Text, PDF, Safari.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
