iTunes Frozen on Podcasts Tab

Last time I was on iTunes, I had the podcasts tab up. I then closed iTunes. This was yesterday sometime.

Today, I open up iTunes and it automatically opens up to the podcasts tab, but i get nothing but a spinning beachball. That's it. I've waited almost 30 minutes and there is still a spinning beachball. My only option is to force quit iTunes. Opening it again gives me the exact same result - spinning beachball and no access to anything in iTunes.

Any advice other than just getting rid of iTunes and re-installing it?
