Q: UNABLE  TO SCAN WITH MY PRINTER USING MY MAC

Go to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4505 which I use all the time with my Epson scanner and it works great.

Go to Spotlight by selecting the search button () located in the top right-hand coner of the screen.

Search for Image Capture.

Select it from the results.

Click the dropdown for either Devices or Shared (choose whichever one appears with a number greater than 0 directly to the right of it).

Select your printer from the dropdown.

You should now be able to scan.
