Disable Camera in Settings > General > Restrictions. Do that and PhotoBooth disapears--that's how I deleted this app. It's nowhere to be found. Disabling the camera lets you disable/delete FaceTime too.
My point is I pay for this space, but don't get to decide how all I pay for is used. Apple does! I have been greatly inconvenienced while traveling by Apple demanding scarce internet time to update its IOS again, again and again! I had to delete apps I wanted to keep to make space and am stuck with rubbish apps I don't need like photo booth, find friends and find iPhone, I don't even have an iPhone, so why do I need that app? I would much rather use my iPad space for trip photos than nonsense I don't need and resent "donating" to Apple.
You did not read the fine print at the bottom of the page so here it is. It is not a preinstalled app. You cannot delete Photo Booth. I'm sorry.
GarageBand is free on the App Store for all iOS 7 compatible devices; additional GarageBand instruments and sounds are available with an in-app purchase. iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers and Keynote are free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated on or after September 1, 2013. See www.apple.ca/ios/whats-new/ for iOS 7 compatible devices. Downloading apps requires an Apple ID.
You cannot delete the built in apps. No Garage Band is not a built in app. You downloaded it for free if you bought a new iOS device after September 1, 2013, or you paid for it, but it is not built in.
Thanks, Apple for taking up valuable space for something I neither want nor use. At least, I know now I'm stuck with it from reading this advice. Perhaps someone in Silicon land needs reminding that I and other iPad users pay for this space when we buy one of your devices. Hmm...
Youre quite right ... I didnt see the fine print ... thanks for your trouble. Much appreciated.
You can tell Apple you would like to be able to delete system apps here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
If they don't change it there are other cell phone makers out there.
You're welcome. If Photo Booth bothers you that much, move into a folder on a screen that you don't use. Bury it somewhere with any other preinstalled app that you don't want to use.
I mostly wanted to get rid of it because its using up space, and I never use it. But I guess Ill just live with it. thanks.
Me too, I have never used it. I get message that I can't take a photo because not enough space. I am deleting a lot of apps that I never use. Can not delete this. It is wasting space on my IPad!!!
It is a very small app (as I recall less than 2MB) so it isn't going to give you much space even if you could delete it.
Yep, that 2MB is going to be critical.
Use the app AppCleaner to remove it. You must go into the AppCleaner preferences to allow for removing of protected apps.
