CAN'T Delete file "Windows Media Player"

I can't delete this last file of Windows Media Player. It states that files inside of the file are locked. I don't know how to unlock them all. Some one said I could bybass locked files in a trash can by holding the option down but that didn't work.

MacBook Pro 17-inch 2.16 Intel Core Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.7), 2GB 667 DDR2 - 2x1GB SO-DIMMs, 100GB Serial ATA drive @ 7200 rpm, ATI 256MB

I just had to deal with that too.

"Control Click" or "Right Click" on the Windows Media Player app and goto "Show Package Contents" in menu. Once the "package" is open (new window) find the file that is locked (has little lock on lower left side) and "Get Info" (command I) to access the button to unlock file. Once unlocked put into trash. You can unlock multiple files at once by highlighting all the files and do a Get Info.

Hope this helps.

Do you know if
there is a shortcut to unlock files like Apple L or something?

You can use Terminal and type

sudo rm -Rf folder_name

I don't have Windows Media Player installed, but I suppose its folder name is Windows Media Player and normally an application is located inside the Applications folder, so the command should be

sudo rm -Rf /Applications/Windows\ Media\ Player
then press the Enter key

Watch out that there is no coming back. If you type the wrong folder name that folder is gone at once, there is no trash can to save your action ;-)
