When I open the notification center and view my calendar see a red line with the time on it on during the hours of 12AM and about 5AM.

That's the current time.
Yes it is the current time, I guess my question is why does it only show this 'current time' line up until 5AM and then it shows it no more after that. It allows me to see this time line from 12AM TO 5AM. WHY DOES IT NOT SHOW IT ANY FURTHER THAN THAT?
Why hide this timeline after 5AM?
iOS 7 has changed the Today view slightly. It only shows the times you have appointments. If you have no appointments, you won't see anything under the calendar section. That is not user adjustable.
I'm questioning the redline. It only appears after midnight and disappears after 5AM
If you were to set time automatically to let's say "1:15AM" when you open the notification center this red line shows up showing the current time. After 5AM THIS LINE DISAPPEARS, Why?
I can only surmise that, during the hours that most people are likely to be scheduling things, it behaves as I described above. At night, it shows the current time. However, "why" is really a question only Apple could answer.
That is why I chose this site created by Apple. All I really want is the time line stamp thingy that shows up ONLY between 12AM AND 5AM to just always show up, I like it. What I don't like is how it disappears on me during the hours that I am actually awake. I've list sleep just to view this time line , I need to know the purpose, I must know.
As I said, only Apple would know. This is a user-to-user technical support forum. You're not addressing Apple here. If you wish to speak to Apple directly, you'll either need to call Apple (use the Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page) or go into an Apple Store and ask.

Well, I just pulled down Notification Center on my 5S with iOS 7.1. There is a current appointment for my wife on my phone from 7:00-3:00pm. It is 11:42 here in Illinois and I can see the red line in the calendar section when I look.
Why wouldn't this 'time line' show up all hours of the day when they're no events scheduled?
