Mar 27, 2014 6:30 AM in response to massey125by King_Penguin,The majority of ibooks from iTunes have digital-rights-management on them which tie them to the iBooks app on iOS devices and the iBooks app on Mac computers (the Mac will need OS X Mavericks installed on it) - most ebook stores have DRM which tie their ebooks to their own apps/ereaders. You might be able to copy free ibooks onto it, but the vast majority of paid-for ibooks won't work with it
You can see where your ibooks are stored on your computer (assuming that you have copies of them in the Books part of your library) by right-clicking (control-clicking if using a pre-Mavericks Mac) and selecting 'show in explorer' ('show in finder' on a Mac). I don't have a Kobo so I don't know the process for copy ebooks from a computer.
