Register for Channels

New to apple tv. Registered for various channels. Tedious but got it done last night. All channels were playing. This morning went to Cracle and it wants me to register again. Went to website and I am logged in. Dont know how to fix this. Thanks for any help or direction.

Congratulations on your new Apple TV! Also, thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with Crackle on your Apple TV. I have a few suggestions to resolve this issue.


First, I recommend reviewing the steps in the section titled "If you have activation issues with a content provider" in this article:

If you continue to experience the issue, I recommend restarting your Apple TV:

Restarting your Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) using the onscreen menu

If you have Apple TV software 5.0 or later installed, you can restart your Apple TV using the onscreen menu. To restart your Apple TV chooseSettings>General > Restart.

If the issue persists, I recommend restoring your Apple TV:

Restoring your Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) to factory settings


On Apple TV, choose Settings > General > Reset, and then click Restore.


Your Apple TV will restore to its factory settings, and will also download and install the latest Apple TV software update. This process may take some time. Do not disconnect your Apple TV's power cable during the restore process.

Tried the restart. Did not resolve the issue. I do not want to restore and have to go thru the tedious set up process again. Googled this problem and found that my issue is common. Crackle's website is so poorly administered it won't even accept my id and password to communicate with them. I don't believe this is an Apple TV issue but if Apple would communicate my and others displeasure it my help resolve this issue.

Not going to argue the point with you. FYI, I have been contacted in the past by Apple employees trouble shooting various software releases. They were monitoring the forum. And by the way today the Apple Feedback page rejected my email address as invalid. Not sure how to resolve that anomoly.

I wasn't trying to argue, it was a means of trying to help you get results.


I didn't state that they never come by the forum. The fact remains that it is rare (not a regular occurance) and you have no way of knowing they will ever see this. But if you want to take that chance that's totally your call.


I assume your email address worked prior to today?

I know that you have the best of intentions. Obviously you have helped many users. I'm not trying to be contentious. And yes my email has always worked on the feedback page. Tried both of my email accounts. Could be that the page was having issues. Again thanks for the attempt to help me.
