I agree with Allan - give it to her. You can always change your password afterwards, along with your security questions if you feel the need to. It was your mistake not hers. The only other option you would have is to take the time and trouble to go to see the new owner, and do the job yoursdelf on your old phone.

You could do it on a computer by signing into your iCloud account. You might even be able to do it from your Galaxy by going into iCloud from your internet browzer - but I'm not familiar with the Galaxy.

seems to also disable the activation lock and lets the new owner reset the device and set it up as a new one. There's nothing you can do about the content on that phone however, gotta trust the new owner ignores it and resets the device.
