I cant connect my macbook air to the correct network.

I have a macbook air and a linksys ea3500 router and everytime I try and connect the macbook air to the router using the cisco smart wifi setup it will not find the proper network. It keeps saying error at 25% ive tried entering the id to connect it at that point and it still doesnt find it. That being said my linksys ea3500 still is connected to the internet and it has internet through an unsecured network. I just want to be able to set up my nat type and secure the network can someone help me ?

Ps. No ethernet plugs or anything to help me with this process as there arent any on the macbook air.

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
