Password problem
I can't send mail. I'm being asked for my password and then doesn't accept it. Can anyone help?

Is it asking for your e-mail password? In any case, it sounds like you need to get in touch with your e-mail provider.
Thanks kb 1951, yes it's my email password for my me.com address. I believe it was the same password as for icloud, which I have reset, but I don't know how to change the me.com one. So I can read my mail, but is can't reply!

Your email address is not the same as your Apple ID.
When you set up your Apple ID you did so with a valid email address, pre-existing your iCloud account.
You do have an iCloud email. If you reset your password, your reset was sent to your REGULAR email address, before the iCloud account. You have to verify the reset password though that email, not iCloud email.
Once verified, on iPad go to settings, iTunes and App Store, click on account, sign out, then sign in with your Apple ID and NEW password.
Hi lizdance40, I am such a dunce at this computer stuff! Ok, that makes sense. The other email address I used at that time is long gone, but maybe I can answer my verification questions and get in that way. Thanks for your help
