Q: A disgruntaled employeed broke the screen and erased the ipad before returning it and now we cannot activate it because it is linked to her apple ID. Please help.

I have an ipad that a former employee was using for personal use that should not have been and after they were let go they returned it broke with all data erased except still connected to her Apple ID. Now she will not call back and I cannot activate the Ipad and need to get it back into the clinic for diagnostic purposes.

Please help

Only Apple may be able to help you but it is doubtful that they can.

Probably your only recourse is to blacklist so that she doesn't repeat this with another employer.

Considering the cost of an iPad, I would suggest you have your HR & Legal departments consider taking legal actions against the former employee.  If they intentionally damaged the hardware, they could be financially liable for the damages, and just the threat alone might be enough to remond them that they need to be a respnsible adult...
