32 GB iPod touch only holding 1000 songs?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to re-sync my 32 GB iPod touch 4G to a new computer. I restored it to factory settings to erase all of the previous music (about 2600 songs, held with about 8 GB left), but when I try to sync my new library, it runs out of room around 1000 songs. What is wrong and how do I fix this?

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1.6, 32 GB

From your iTunes when you connect the iPod to your computer, in options set your bit rate to 128kbps, then resync your iPod to the library. Good luck, Cheers.
