iphone 5s speaker distored and low volume one side after ios 7.1 update

I just recently noticed after the newest update that when i play music from the device whether its on the music app or Youtube when i turn the volume all the way to the max the sound starts to sound distored also when using my head phones i've tried two different ones its very low on one side (the left) and I tried connecting it to my cars aux cable connections and the sound is only comming from the right side not the left. Did my speaker blow or does anyone know if there is an issue with this update that could cause issues with the audio and if there will be a fix for it if so? It's very frustrating. Please help i need my music!!!
