If you used iMovie, you need to export the movie to your desktop (that will render it) and then you will need a burn/authoring software to burn it to a DVD if you want to use it in any DVD player; there is Roxio Toast, iDVD (still available as part of iLife 09 or 11 retail disk at online retailers or ebay, or Burn (simple, but free) or google for others.
