Recently changed my appled id email address while on my MacBook. However, both my iPad Air and iPhone 5s are trying to sign on with my old apple id. Plus, I can't logoff my account so cannot login with the new apple id. Desperate to solve this as I cannot update or download any apps. Thank you for your help.

Sign out of old Apple ID and sign in with new.
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID
I have tried to sign out of the old Apple ID but when I go to Settings>iTunes>AppleID it is grayed out and I cannot sign off.
Make sure all your restrictions are off.

Reset iPad and try again.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
Have some good news but a bit of bad as well.
Good news - the reset worked great! I was able to go into iTunes and change my Apple ID after I did the reset.
However, now I am having the same issue with iCloud. I tried the reset again but the Apple ID field remains greyed out so I can't fix it.
Any other suggetions?
1. You will have to change your Apple ID temporarily
2. Delete old iCloud account
3. Check back to your new Apple ID
