Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

Good news - the reset worked great! I was able to go into iTunes and change my Apple ID after I did the reset.
However, now I am having the same issue with iCloud. I tried the reset again but the Apple ID field remains greyed out so I can't fix it.
Any other suggetions?

2. Delete old iCloud account
3. Check back to your new Apple ID
