An app does not appear under location services
An app that requires location services does not appear under location services, thus preventing me from enabling locations on that app and also preventing me from using the app.
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.6

If location services are not enabled for the app, as soon as you try to use it, it should prompt you if you want to use location services and you can answer yes. It would not normally show up there until it has attempted to use them and been denied.

No problem. I wanted to give you some other user troubleshooting, but didn't want to repeat anything you had already done. Since you turned the iPhone off and on, that is the first step. The next step is a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If it still won't work, then check to see if you have Locations services restricted in Settings. If not, then you can try going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. See if that gets the prompt. If not, I don't think it is work trying to go through a restore, up to you. And I agree, stellar customer service on their part.
Seeing your screen name reminds me of my favorite Fleetwood Mac song. Good luck with the phone.
An app will only show in "Location Services" when it will request for the user location. Those apps which ask for Settings first befor asking for location will not appear in "Location Services". So its a developer bug, user can not do anything.
It doesn't prompt me with yes or later like most apps. It tells me to go to settings, privacy, location services, etc but when I go there, the app is not listed. I know how the usual set up goes for this kind of thing but it's not happening...
This is a pretty useless response, something is going wrong with the iPhone's iOS, since it is the iOS settings that are going wrong, so clearly apple is involved.
I'm also having this issue with Google Maps, 52 other people as well apparently, probably with various apps but always iOS.
So please can you raise this issue in the QA ticketing, or ask someone technical what could be going wrong with the UX flow? Thanks.
I too can not find Facebook listed under location services on my iPad.did you ever get this figured out? I turned off location and tried to reboot, did not work!
That is an interesting way to provide support for your app, tell you to go somewhere else! Well, we can try a couple of things, but what have you already tried to troubleshoot it?
Just took a look at it in the App Store. It seems they provide support by email at support@datingdna.com. I would try that to see what they say. This is not an Apple app, so not sure how you can troubleshoot their locations services connection.
What app is this?
Dating DNA
I tried that first. They said to contact Apple support. Thank you for your help.
I looked for restrictions too but I didn't see anything. But i also thought maybe i didn't know what I was looking for. Will a settings reset affect my phone too much?
I thought it was agreat business strategy haha. I tried deleting and re-downloading multiple times; with location services on, with it off, turning my phone off and on between. I tried changing other notification settings... I can't think of anything else. That's why I came here. And it's not the end of the world, it's just a stupid free app but it bothers me i can't figure it out. My username should be Stubborn
So you're just going to die when you hear how I fixed the problem... I never checked the app after just turning location services. So yep... All i had to do was turn the general location services on. Thank you for your time!
Just reset passwords for wi-fi. Won't affect any data.
