Problem found for connecting glyph to iMac

Hi all! So it took me awhile to figure this out and it is a very simple solution. Here's the situation:

You are trying to connect a glyph drive to your iMac. In my case I was using a thunderbolt cable adapter to a firewire. Then connecting the firewire to the glyph. The glyph's blue light was on and it was making sounds like it was running, but for the life of me I couldn't get it to connect. Tried everything. Finally I called the company and figured out that the glyph needs more power than a normal firewire.

So, to get it to connect you must plug in it's power supply (the black cord that goes into an electrical socket) as well as the firewire. Then it should connect!!!
