I have an iphone 4 (no 'S') and for some reason I can't connect to the internet or access any apps that need to connect unless I am using wifi. It started after the most recent software update, but I can't find anything online that talks about it. Phone calls and texts work with no problem. I think I just need to make sure all of my settings are correct, but again, I can't find a troubleshooting checklist anywhere. Can anyone help me??

Make sure cellular data is on:
Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data - On
Settings>Cellular.... make sure you have cellular data enabled
In addition to checking that Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data is on also check further down that page under "Use Cellular Data For" and insure that Safari is on.
The Cellular Data is on and Safari is set to 'Use Cellular Data'. I tried rebooting with the home and power keys and also turning the phone off and on entirely, but still no dice. Any other suggestions?
Is there a data cap or limitation on the account?
Have you tried contacting your carrier?
Have you tried resetting your network connections? Setting => General => Reset => Reset Network Settings
This will clear buffers and reconnect you to the nearest cell tower. (Or at least the one with the strongest signal in your area.)
Also clear History, cookies and data in Safari. Settings => Safari => Clear History, Clear Cookies and Data.
My plan was renewed, but for some reason the data was not. I called the carrier and got it straightened out w/o a problem. Thank you to everyone for your assistance in troubleshooting this problem.
