Welcome to the Support Communities!
If I understand your question, your daughter has an iPad and you have an iPhone, but you are currently using the same Apple ID on both, is that correct?
I would first suggest backing up your iPhone (Mom's Apple ID) to iCloud and/or iTunes.

I would suggest creating an Apple ID account for your daughter so that her contacts, calendars, text messages, email, notes, etc. will be separate from yours. To do this, go to Apple - My Apple ID. Click on the blue "Create an Apple ID" button.
Then, on your daughter's iPad, sign out of Facetime and Messages. Follow the instructions below to change the settings for Facetime and Messages to your daughter's new Apple ID. On your daughter's iPad, only enter her Apple ID (email address) as a contact. Don't use your phone number.

If you have your iCloud account on your daughter's iPad, you would delete that account and add your daughter's iCloud account (the Apple ID you created). This will keep all of her data separate, and allow her to backup the iPad to her own account as well.

I hope this information helps ....
Have a great day!
