Dont have full control of Ipod Classic when connecting to car stereo

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can help. When I connect my 160 GB ipod classic using my existing interface to my car stereo, it doesn’t function properly as it does with other ipod models i.e. it will skip only 2 tracks when I first turn on the ignition, then it won’t skip at all after that.

Do I need another adapter or is there a software update to fix this?

Any help much appreciated.
