Q: USB connection problem. Someone help

I got a custom iPod touch 4th gen with a green screen and at the time it had ios 6.1.3 and I updated it to its 6.1.5 and it stopped connecting to my computer. I tried everything and it only connects in recovery mode. Is the logic board messed up or what? I have tried over 10 cables and 4 computers but it does the same thing. I really need an awnser ASAP because I wanted to jailbreak it but I can't now. Was it an iTunes update error or something? Someone please help me? I'm currently on iOS 6.1.6. It charges perfectly fine with no issues at all but it's just the USB connectivity on it

    Based on the troubleshooting yo performed. make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    Before you consider that:{ I wanted to jailbreak it but I can't now } in the future, make sure you read the following article;

    Unauthorized modification of iOS can cause security vulnerabilities, instability, shortened battery life, and other issues

      here  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3743

    If you jailbreak, you get no further help on this forum. And I wouldn't mention it in an Apple store if I were you.

    But if apple can't fix it then I'll just buy a new logic board and replace it. But I want to at least see first if there is a way to fix the broken one

    You're kidding right? You tried to jailbreak it, and killed it and can't figure out why it doesn't work? Now want to go Frankenstein on it... (puppies).

    Oh I get it alright.

    The problem is that by mentioning it in the first place, you opened up the discussion to a warning of the consequences should you choose to jailbreak at some point in the future. (I said "in the future" in my first post.) I, quite reasonably, was simply trying to bring to your attention, and that of anyone else reading your posts, Apple's official position on this and the possible consequences, should you, or anyone else influenced by your thoughts, choose to jailbreak.

    Any misunderstanding by anyone here of the exact status of your iPod is frankly, understandable, since your use of the expression I got a custom iPod touch 4th gen with a green screen  made me ask myself if you had already compromised it.

    Now that you (hopefully) understand Apple's position on jailbreaking, perhaps you should give some thought to abandoning this rather pointless discussion about it, because none of the regular contributors here will support you, particularly if they wish to stay in favour with our hosts on this site. It is extremely unlikely that Apple will ever allow promotion of jb on their own official sites, regardless of any disclaimers they may have at the bottom of the Communities start page.

    If you wish to discuss jailbreaking, you are free to do so on non-Apple websites/forums. If you have technical questions, by all means post them on this site and hopefully, you may be offered a solution.

    My advice to you now is start a new discussion about the technical issue you have, but do not mention jailbreaking or this current thread, because it hasn't helped up to now, has it?

    I know every single consequence of JB and I could care less about it. The only custom thing about the iPod is that has a green screen. Nothing else. It has never been jailbroken and anyone who thinks it was, is 100% wrong. It's my iPod, I know what goes on with it and I can choose what I want to do with it, and no one is going to stop me from doing that. And I'm not discussing JB, I never planned to and I don't want to. The only discussion here is why my NEVER JB IPOD will not connect to any computer through USB. If you want to keep arguing, then go somewhere else
