using automator to filter a list of download links

Just had a quick question for those out there using automator/applescript. I recently wrote a workflow with the following:

Get Specified URL

Gets The Download Links

Filters URL (based on several entries into the Entire URL contains ____)

That list is then filtered again based on two more criteria

Then it displays the results

It waits 30 mins, then Loops using original input.

All of this is triggered by an ical alarm every day and for the most part runs very smoothly but I there are two things that I wanted to know if they could be accomplished in automator and/or applescript.

1) after the list is filtered the second time, is it possible to filter by the date (IE: Date is Today)

2) If the file is still on the list after the first time it runs, is their a way to omit it on the loop.

Thanks for the help in advance.
