does Apple TV 3rd generation has dolby 5.1 digital streaming? when watching Netflix on apple tv dolby digital doesnt come up even though movie is dolby 5.1 Can someone help me discover what is wrong

so it does support Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound pass-through
many people here post it don't work because
1. their expectations what comes with 5.1 are off
2. they are encoding their own media and don't encode the audio correctly
it did work until the latest firmware update there are other threads with the same issue. hopefully a fix soon.
Movies play in 5.1, even though 7.2 is the basic modern standard. Sigh.
the movie trailer app and YouTube only do 1989- era 2 channel stereo, which is just sad.
7.2 might be the standard on receivers but it certainly isn't in movie mastering and distribution
