Q: how can i upgrade from 10.5.8 (macbook 2GHz intel core2 duo 2GB 1067MHz)
I need to install protools 11 in my macbook but can't install it with OS 10.5.8
How should I upgrade OS? Can't find a way to buy it online.
Thanks
MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

What version do you want to update to?
You can get Snow Leopard from the Apple Store, this is the UK store.
http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
From there you can update SL to the latest patch 10.6.8 and activate the App Store.
Mavericks can then be downloaded and installed.
Before you do anything, first check your computer, peripherals and application software are compatible with which version of OS X you want to install, you may need to purchase other items if they are not compatible.
2GB of memory is enough for SL but for good performance too little for Mavericks, that's my opinion, SL would run better with more though.
And don't forget to have a fully tested Backup of your present subsystem before any upgrade is attempted.
