Not enough storage

I am trying to buy BioShock Infinite right now on my MacBook Pro, which has a 320GB hard drive and a 128GD SSD installed. I know that its a huge game, 39GB in total. At first when I tried to download it, an error came up in App store saying that there isn't enough free storage to download it. I then cleared out many large files on the SSD until there are over 90GB of free space left. I tried downloading it again, and yet the same error still came up. I even tried to reboot my computer just in case it was a temporary thing, but still didn't work. Anyone have a solution to this? I want to download the game as soon as possible because its on a discounted price now and I would like to save some money on it.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.

Select

/var/log ▹ appstore.log

from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

View Show Log List

from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, click the Clear Display button in the toolbar of the Console window and then try the installation again.

Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).

If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.

When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.

Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

You're trying to download a large installer package that will then unpack to an even larger set of installed files. Even if there is enough free space for both, the preflight script may decide that there isn't a large enough margin of safety to avoid an out-of-space condition.

Besides all that, you're running an unsupported hardware configuration with a hard drive in the optical drive bay. I don't know what the effects of that configuration are and I would never recommend it.

I suggest you copy your startup volume to an external hard drive, boot from that, and download the game. You may then be able to copy it back to one of the internal drives.
