Finder: How do I restrict "Open Fith..." scope?

Hi folks.

I have a SAN Drobo on my LAN. When I right click a file, I want to get past Open With..., but when it grabs and activates that potential list of applications the file could be opened with, it searches the LAN and takes well over 10 seconds to get past it. Essentially it's a long delay.

How can I instruct that to not look over the LAN? Is this Spotlight based?
