Why won't website load

There is a website that used to load perfectly on my macbook at home and one day it just stopped loading. It stalls--it just says waiting for www.***.com to load and nothing happens. Here are the facts

1) The website loads on my iPad perfectly well at home.

2) The website loads on my Macbook on other networks

3) It won't load in any browser I try at home--safari, chrome, firefox. I try other pages on the website, not just the main landing page, and they won't load.

4) I deleted my network from my macbook and reloaded it and that did not fix it.

I am pretty ignorant technically, so please make suggestions accordingly.
