Q: i just downloaded maverick and everything is fine except iPhoto is not there.....how does one get into it?

I just downloaded Maverick OS X 10.9.2 and everything seems to be working just fine....except when I went to open iPhoto is not there any more. Does anyone know how to open it to retrieve all my pics????

iPhoto is not part of OS X. You must get the upgrade via the App Store along with the other iLife applications.
