downloading HP driver c6180 gets message "Can't download the software because of a network error"

Whether I use the HP website (www8) or the Apple website, I get the same message trying to download driver software. Only thing I seem to be having network problems with. Appreciated any assistance.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9)
