Streaming for hours! Using stand def! Very frustrated with this can't even watch a movie with it!

The Apple TV is very frustrating! Streaming for hours! Did update! Stand def. restarted many times.

That will come down to your network.

What is your current connection, use speedtest.net

Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, check signal strength and noise

On Apple TV go to settings - general - network - congifure DNS. Should be set to automatic.

Signal strength good. And yes the IP and DNS configure both set to Automatic

Now it is Authorizing.......forever. Maybe Apple TV is not a good way for me to watch a movie?

For the best viewing experience for iTunes content on Apple TV, you need a broadband Internet connection. We recommend these connection speeds for viewing content:

8-Mbit/s or faster for 1080p high-definition movies and TV shows
6-Mbit/s or faster for 720p content
2.5-Mbit/s or faster for standard-definition content
