Q: Why has my download option changed to "watch"?

Recently when I go to my movie library, I touch the movie to bring up the window that allows me to download/watch the trailers and get info, and the cloud download icon is gone and replaced with "watch". When I hit "watch", i to opens my video app and nothing happens. What is going on?!

    If tapping the "watch" button in the iTunes Store does not play your video in the Videos app, first try forcing both applications to close using these steps:

    1. Double-click the Home button.

    2. Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

    3. Swipe the app's preview up to close it.

    If your video still does not play after trying again, restart your iPhone next:

     

    iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

    Additionally, use these steps from the article above (Download past purchases) to make sure that the video is downloaded to your device:

    1. Tap Settings > Videos and make sure Show All Videos is on.
    2. Tap the Videos app.
    3. Tap Movies, Music Videos, or TV Shows at the bottom of the page.
    4. Find the item that you want to download.

    I have same issue with numerous movies that I have downloaded on ipad previously and then deleted from ipad.  I did both steps numerous times and it still says "watch" even though movie is not visible on ipad.
