I'm trying to make a time lapse and iMovie won't let me change the duration to anything less than 1 second. Help!!

I'm on OS X Maverick and iMovie '13, I used a GoPro camera to take time lapse photos and upload them to iPhoto and then to iMovie. Everything was working smoothly up to this point. But when I tried to change the duration of all the photos to .1 seconds, it corrected it to 1 second. I can change the duration of one photo at a time to .1, but I have 870 photos and I don't want to individually change each one. If someone could help, that'd be great.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), iMovie 13

Did you select all clips then under adjust button click i and type 0.1 and return. It works for me with multiple clips although I didn't have 870.

Yes that's what I've been doing, it won't let me enter in anything less than 1 second.

Yes, I believe that 0.1 is the minimum iMovie will accept. You need an App such as QT 7 pro which will create a time lapse movie.

Yep I have QT 7 pro and it won't open image sequences. Someone suggested Time lapse assembler. It works great I used to use light room and templates but now all I use this aperture for editing and time lapse assembler for creating the time lapse. I'm pretty amazed at the program and how fast it assembles I'm talking 2500+ photos in like five minutes on a MacBook Pro.

In Quicktime 7 Pro you open an image sequence from the file menu. Put all your photos in a folder and make sure they are numbered sequencely. Then select open image sequence and navigate to the folder containing your images. Works just fine.

I have just found a 'workaround' on this.

I am making a time lapse movie too and wanted to set the photos at 0.1 sec each. I had 300 photos.

I selected a bunch of about 30 at a time (click shift) and set the time.

Yes, a bit cumbersome, but it works and better than adjusting each photo one at a time.
