Q: Im trying to update my software but when i click on the apple up top, it says no updates for my computer yet im only at 10.5

If you are running 10.5, please post the exact model/year of your machine - you may only be able to update to Snow Leopard (10.6) or Lion 10.7.

First you need to buy > Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.)

Then update it to > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1

At that point you can update iTunes, then connect and sync your iPhone.

Then if your MacBook meets the > OS X Mavericks: System Requirements, you can go to the Mac App Store and upgrade to Mavericks.
