I am trying to sync an album(folder) from my windows 7 pc to itunes. When i try adding the folder to library, the single album gets into two albums (original one and the new unknown album) with the unknown album containing few songs of the original album. Basically, Why does it occur?? Also suggestions to overcome this is appreciated as this is annoying.

Sometimes, iTunes may separate songs based on the data stored within the file:
There are three reasons why songs from the same album may not be grouped together
- The album names of the songs may differ slightly
- The songs from the same album may have different artists
- Not all songs in the album have the same "Album Artist" assigned to it
