Q: My Macbook Pro 13" is Running Ridiculously Slow

I believe the battery is going out, but if I do not have to replace it I am fine having a power cord hooked up to the computer. It took me about 30 minutes to get this post up because of the Rainbow Spinning Pinwheel... any help is much appreciated!

First, uninstall Avast according to the developer's instructions - it's known to casue massive problems with system performance.
After that see if things speed up a bit after a restart. You really don't show much to worry about other than Avast.
