Email received does not show up in "inbox" or when I do a search for it

Hi everyone - Email received from a specific person does not show up in my "inbox" when THEY initiate the email to me. Their email does however show up when I do a search by that person's name AND when they reply to an email that I initiated their email DOES come into my "inbox"

Any thoughts about what this could be?
