I was trying to make a Bluetooth File Exchange from my Mac to my iPad for the first time... It said "This device does not have the necessary services" when I selected my iPad as a choice. What am I doing wrong/what do I need to do to make it work? more

The only problem is that it will not transfer any files and states: "This device does not have the necessary services" when I try to transfer the file from the Macbook to the iPad.

Mar 30, 2014 3:02 PM in response to charlansenby hexonxonx,Everything that you sync to the iPad is done through iTunes or from downloading from the cloud if they are iTunes purchases or through iTunes Match, if subscribed.
It is also not possible to transfer music or certain other files though Bluetooth between other iPhones or Android devices. You can transfer between iOS devices, pictures through devices that are Airdrop capable.
