Why does the 'continue' button not work on the first screen of pages?

After the update of pages, the first screen that shows a picture of school news and with the writing 'welcome to pages'.

I am not able to press the 'continue' button for some reason, I do not know if it is something wrong with my ipad or the app.

Could you please update the app somehow, so the continue button is in the middle or something because i really need my work back for college.

Someone help please!
