All other internet speeds/things running are ok. Any thoughts on how we can finish out

Any ideas on how to fix itunes movie rental interruption? We can't get back into the movie we saw halfway...all was well and then it just froze. We tried restarting Apple TV, resume play, etc. nothing works. Any suggestions?
