Q: Reconnect Online Media Problem

Got an issue with FCE 4 with two annoying files that won't appear to stay connected.

 

When FCE starts the "re connect offline files window DOES NOT appear",

 

but if  do   File | Reconect media there is a listof files that are in the "online button section.

 

I can go in and select jsut one file nd it re connects all others ..about 6 of them, in the relative path.

 

 

I can do the re connect media...and then look again at File | Reconect media    and those same files are there again.

 

There are many other files in those same directories..all with same read/write permissions, yet for some reason a few rnadom files alway appear in the re connect list.

 

 

it does not appear to be causin gan issue..but it is jsut really annoying and any insight woudl be appreciated.

    When FCE starts acting weird, a trip to Digital Rebellions Preference Manager often solves things.

     

    It is free and with FCE not running, allow you to delete your funky preferences. When you restart, FCE will generate fresh default preference files. Any custom items (scratch disk locations, etc) will have to be re-entered.

    Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.

     

    5 in the morning here and just off out to catch early flight for business trip.  Will try as soon as time allows, thanks.
