Appletv 1st generation

if it's been setup to sync with another computer you need to go to the appletv to remove their link to setup a new sync

to sync with a computer the firewall of the computer needs to not block the feature check that

you can test by using ethernet cables and by doing so taking your wifi network out of the equation as the culpit of your issues

just so you're sure appletv 1g looks like this

it's been discontinued and no longer get software updates

in the settings of the appletv 1g one can remove their computer it see it self as paired to

say your computer explode into 1201 pieces and you get a new one

the appletv don't know that the old one broke and can only sync with 1 computer at the time

so to sync with a new one goes into the settings of the appletv and remove the old sync link

and when it's remove one can setup a new sync link with the computer of ones choice

if that does not help then I would suggest testing out by connecting by ethernet cables to see if it does

some people has repported issues with the old one and going wired or changing to a static ip address fixed it for some
