HELP!! SERIOUS IPOD PROBLEM!!

ok.so my ipod...doesnt react when i pulg it in to the usb.and well when i do plug it in it sounds like theres dirt or somthing in the ipod....ah.can anyone help?i tried to clean it.but doesnt help.and yester day i dropped my ipod on the floor.but it was ok. please help!
this is the secon time i post it..the first time no one posted anything!!!should i just send it in to apple?

yea..no ones helping...i think im just gonna send it in to apple..ugh...i cant even touch my ipod.because im afraid im gonna run out of battery and not be able to even turn it on!arg..i havent bin able to use it for like a week or more!

yup..i dont think anything is wrong with the ipod, i think its just the part where you plug in the usb.and nothing is wrong with my computer.

Hello,

It sounds like most likely your issue is that your iPod's hard drive is messed up somehow. I'm presuming this because you accidentially dropped it, and now it's sounding "scratchy" when connected to your computer...

Yes, the best thing to do now would be to send it back to Apple. Note that they will probably say that this issue was due to "owner's abuse" of your iPod, so they may not cover for it.

There are other places which can do this for you, though. For example, try checking out iPod ResQ, or Broken iPods.

But before you send it off to Apple or someone else, have you tried all those Five R's yet? (linked to in previous poster's post).

Ok, one is it charged, because when mine isn't charged my comp doesn't pick it up. Two, if it is charged are both ends plugged in properly? Three, If all else fails, take it in.

yea, it did fall.and i did try the 5 freakin r's.well..i filled out the things to get the ipod fixed ,ipod service request but im not actually gonna do it right now but it says i have to pay $32.27...ugh..
