How do I restore Ical when I made the mistake of moving it to iCloud

I am running Maverick (well named) and discovering that the only way to syn Mac and iphone is with Icloud. To test if it was possible to just syn and then delete from Icloud I setup Ical on Icloud and now discover I have no choice but to use Icloud.

How can I restore Ical to my Mac either from Icloud or from Timemachine.
