Trying to upgrade from Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) to OS X Maverick 10.9 from app store but keep getting cannot upgrade. When I tried to download 10.9.2, it complianed saying I need 10.9 first. Any tips? Can't seem to figureout what requirements are not met. I have enough hard disk space and RAM needed for upgrade

If you don't know, go to > About this Mac > More Info, and find the serial number. Enter it at http://selfsolve.apple.com
Which model of Mac Pro do you have? Click the Apple logo in the top left corner - Select "About this Mac" - " More Info". What is the model identifier?
It doesn't give me year other than saying phone and techincal support warrenty expired

this is what I get.. and no other model identifiers listed unfortunately
There should be a model identifier such as: MacBook Pro 3,1
You will need at least a 3,1 to upgrade to Mavericks.
Looks like mine is early 2006 model.
Then I'm afraid Lion is as far is it will go. It is not compatible with Mountain Lion or Mavericks.

I have the same problem and I'm sure it's not a hardware issue...
I have a Mac Mini (mid2010) 2,4GHz Core2 duo 4Gb RAM with OSX 10.7.5 and when I try to download Mavericks through App Store I always get: "...unable to verify your computer.."
NOT a matter of Apple ID (works fine elsewhere), according to Apple support (OS X Mavericks: requisiti di sistema) it should download fine 'n easy but so it isn't.
Have tried a thousand times now, always the same. Anyone any clue?

I have a late 2006 iMac running 10.7.5 as well. I'm a little new to this, so my question is: how do I obtain Mavericks or Yosemite? When I go to the Apple site I can't find out any information on how to download (or purchase) the software.
That model can not be upgraded beyond 10.7.5.
