I recently changed my Apple ID & have verified it through th conformation e-mail. My iPhone is not allowing me to input the new ID. I have tried everything that your website recommends and have had no success.

I recently changed my Apple ID and have verified it through the conformation e-mail. My iPhone is not allowing me to change the ID on it though. I have performed all instructions and recommendations listed on the Apple website. When I go to Settings, iTunes & App Store, Apple ID is gray (not blue) and isn't allowing me to click on it. I have checked the restrictions on my phone and the restrictions are not turned on.
