Q: printing issue

Printer works fine. Problem is that when I want to enlarge the print and hit the command and + keys, the print font  is enlarged on the document on the screen, but when I print it out, the font is still very tiny.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

In order to help you, we need to know - what application are you printing from?

I could be wrong, but it sounds like you are using the keyboard shortcut for zoom in. That will not affect the font size in the document - just on screen (for viewing).

If I have guessed wrong, please give us more detail.

Yes, I am using the keyboard shortcut for zoom in and yes, it does not affect the font size in the document, just on screen for viewing. What application am Iprinting from? I just hit "command" "p". Do not know what application I am using or do not know what you mean. How do  I find the application? I am using Safari, if that is what you mean by application (server).

OK - zooming in on screen will not normally have an effect on printing.

    (Yes Safari is an application)

Can you use the scale setting in the print dialog?

Yep! Have done so before, but thought using the keyboard shortcut was the same thing. Just tried using the scale setting on the print dialogue and it worked. Duh! Always used to use the print dialogue before and thought with this new iMac, I wouldn't have to.

    Thank you again to all!
