If you don't see the AirPlay icon in the Control Center:

    1. Turn off router, Apple TV and iPad

    2. Turn on router and then wait 30 seconds for it to complete start-up process

    3. Turn on Apple TV and then wait 30 seconds for it to complete start-up process

    4. Turn on iPad and test AirPlay

The reply you received did not work for me.

If you don't mind having to re-enter your WiFi password(s) there is a much simpler single step solution that will probably work more often and more reliably than all the steps listed in your other solution.

Simply go into your iOS device settings -> reset -> reset network settings

the device will reboot, and you will have to manually reconnect to your WiFi network - and any other WiFi networks that you had previously stored for automatic connection.

    Dear friends,

Problem of Airplay not appearing lies with your wi-Fi device. Try this open settings by typing 192.168.1.1 in the browser.

Tap settings.....go to WLAN advanced settings. Select channel-auto, 802.11 mode as 811/b/g/n,    AP isolation...on. Apply and reboot the device. This setting makes your Airplay icon reappear in your iPhone as well as iPad . Enjoy.
