ALPINE CDE-178BT (KCU445) - COMPATIBILITY WITH IPOD CLASSIC 60 GIG

Hello All,

I've just purchased a nice Alpine CDE-178BT head unit for me car and decided to also buy the KCU-445i cable to connect my ipod classic ( 5th Gen ) 60 Gig.

All good... apart from the fact it won't allow me to go to the next track or go to the previous track.. which can be somewhat annoying.

Does anyone know if this is due to the software apple supply Alpine for their latest units ? and is there a firmware fix for my ipod classic.

( I've heard there's no issue with the 80/120 and 160 gig ipod classics )
